Intranet and Internal Communications Manager

As a young company with a significant global footprint, Clarivate Analytics is undergoing a significant transformation. From technology to culture, every part of our company is being reimagined.   We’re building an internal communications team that can guide our 4,500 people, based in 43 offices across the globe, through this dramatic period of change.

  

Reporting directly to the Director of Internal Communications in Philadelphia, the Internal Communications Manager is responsible for driving engagement, conversation and strategic communication within the Clarivate employee community – primarily through digital channels such as the jive intranet platform and Poppulo email tool.  As the business owner of these two communications tools, you work in partnership with Technology and business teams to ensure they exceed performance and adoption expectations.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate the jive-based company intranet (the Lens) into a vibrant and trusted communications platform. 
  • Develop and execute an intranet strategy that is designed to advance the company’s strategy while driving platform engagement rates that exceed industry benchmarks (and expectations).
  • Be the face of jive in the company, working with Technology, Security, App owners (i.e., WorkDay, MyLearning, Travel, etc.)  and other key stakeholders to build and deliver a roadmap that delivers performance improvements, systems security, feature/functionality enhancements and improved engagement performance; build and own the relationship with jive to ensure a continuous level of support. 
  • Create a reporting framework that measures key performance metrics around reach and engagement and adjust the communications strategy based on data analysis.
  • Develop an intranet editorial and site strategy that ensures that key company messages and strategies break through the noise to reach and resonate with target audences. 
  • Launch and drive adoption of the new internal email tool, Poppulo, by training colleaugues, running campaigns and measuring the results. 
  • Provide clear, consistent leadership around intranet community management, providing support and guidance to employees and group owners on how to effectively use jive. 
  • Build  and implement a program to immerse new employees in the Clarivate culture by quickly adopting and using the social intranet. 

Background and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with intranet platforms and channels for corporate communications, preferably in a global organization.
  • Proven hands on experience with the development, management or maintenance of community websites; experience with jive a plus
  • The ability to write compelling and persuasive copy with a journalistic eye for detail
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful communications programs, including message and strategy development, planning and targeting communication for different audiences
  • Strong project management skills and ability to deliver multiple projects simultaneously
  • Tenacious yet diplomatic with a determination to deliver results
  • Cultural awareness/sensitivity and the proven ability to work seamlessly in a complex, global, matrixed organization 
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, PR or marketing
